Please Note: Library staff cannot provide tax help or advice but will be happy to help you locate tax forms in paper and online and find local tax assistance.

2017 Tax Assistance Program


The Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County is partnering with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance to host the Facilitated Self-Assistance (FSA) Program. The FSA Program provides volunteers who will come to the Central Library to provide assistance for people filing their 2016 individual income taxes. The program will provide laptops for filing and the FSA volunteers will be there to provide assistance and to answer questions. This service will be provided multiple times during the 2017 tax season. All sessions of this FREE service will be held in the Business and Social Sciences Division on the 4th floor of the Bausch & Lomb Public Library building. Appointments may be scheduled in advance by calling the Business Division at 585-428-8130. Walk-ins are also welcome.
