The Fairport Public Library features a wide range of resources for those seeking employment or a new career. These include our Job Information Center which has a special collection of books and study guides, as well as an offering of seminars and presentations to assist you in your job search. In addition there are a variety of online resources that can assist you in your career search.

RochesterWorks! is a not-for-profit corporation that helps job seekers find jobs, move to higher paying jobs and get training to improve skills. RochesterWorks! offers services such as one-on-one job search assistance, career counseling, resume critiquing, training seminars and much more. All their services are free of charge. They offer many useful resources to Job Seekers, including access to New York State Department of Labor's Career Zone and Job Zone; 2 expansive sites that allow you to easily assess yourself and career opportunities. Employment at the Fairport Library

There are several different types of jobs at the Fairport Public Library: professional, paraprofessional, clerical, as well as children';s room aides and library pages (both adult and high school. All full-time positions are filled through Monroe County Civil Service Exams. Learn more and access applications.
