The Board of Trustees consists of five members. One board member is elected annually at the May school district election/budget vote for a five-year term.
The Board of Trustees sets policy for the library and oversees its finances, facilities, and long-range planning.

Fairport Library Trustee Candidate Information
There is one vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees that needs to be filled at the election on May 18, 2010. Please read the memo for more information on the Candidate Petition Process.
Interested persons must file a Petition with the District Clerk as well as submit Biographical Data by April 19, 2010.
Board of Trustees Meetings
The Board of Trustees meets on the Second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Elma Gaffney Meeting Room of the Fairport Public Library.
A "Draft" version of meeting minutes is available in the library within two weeks of Board meetings. Once minutes have been approved by the Board, the final copy is available in the library and on the library website.
Recent meeting minutes are available to download as pdf files. All other minutes are available in the library.
